To me, it looks sporty. And red is a bold color to further push that. I think you hit it right on the nail. Excellent job. Sorry you didn't get the proposal. :c(
same colors, same swoosh,and a scripty type.
I think it's mostly because of the colors, and that little swoop under the typography.
